To apply for the PMP, you need to have either:

• A bachelor's degree from a globally equivalent university
• Minimum of 4500 hours of project management experience in last five years
• Project dates must indicate that the candidate has at least three years of project management experience within six year period to the application
• Candidate must indicate at least 36 months of project management experience to satisfy the three-year requirement
• Candidate has obtained 35 contact hours of project management education (PDUs). Experience can't be converted to PDUs
• Candidate can document all project management education hours regardless of when they were accrued.

OR

• A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.
