This presentation discusses the impact on IT Organizations of the recent upgrade of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) to version 3. With ITIL v3, The concept of Service Portfolio Management in light of the overall Service Lifecycle becomes a central theme. The shift in ITIL from IT Operational Process Excellence to Service Lifecycle Management is also significant for Project Management professionals, and this presentation will try to capture and explain the relevance of ITIL v3 to them.

Damien Wong is Director for Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) and IT Service Management (ITSM) in the Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region. He is responsible for the PPM and ITSM business for HP Software across APJ. Damien was previously Director for IT Governance in the Southeast Asia region at Mercury Interactive.

Prior to rejoining HP, Damien was Senior Vice President for Strategic Management at MediaCorp. He was also Vice President and General Manager for META Group in Singapore prior to its acquisition by Gartner. Damien previously also held technical and management positions for various organisations in the IT industry, including Institute for Infocomm Research (Singapore), Firium Solutions, and Accenture.

Damien holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Computing Science from Imperial College London. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Western Australia.
